How the Ark came to be!

The Ark is owned by husband and wife team Kristen and Stuart. We loved the river so much that we wanted an escape that we can use and we can rent out for others to enjoy. It was designed just large enough to be lived on full time if we chose but first and foremost was as a luxurious couples escape. Functionality and comfort were key drivers. We wanted a full sized kitchen with all the facilities including a large fridge and dishwasher.

We sketched the layouts we wanted on cereal packets whilst we were holidaying together. Then Stuart started on the CAD drawings to have it built. Several months later we had our retreat in the Marina. The the real work started! Kristen did all the styling and colour schemes and selected all the furnishings. What you see now represents the love we put into building a place we would love and hoped others would too!
